It has come to my attention that you can purchase cheap Libreboot laptops through Minifree.org. They have been dropping the price rapidly in the last few weeks. These are the usual Thinkpad X200's with Libreboot installed. With shipping and currency conversion it is possible to get the base line machine for under $400.
