I am currently in the process to reinstall my Galaxy S2 with Cyanogenmod 7 but I got a little problem. I cannot download the file cm_galaxys2_full-116.zip from http://download.cyanogenmod.com/get/cm_galaxys2_full-116.zip because of the following message :

I already flashed my phone with android 2.3.6 and rooted it succesfully with heimdall on Ubuntu. But I don't want to use it until I've installed Cyanogenmod 7. I already have the update file 7.1 and 7.2 RC. But without the full.zip there are of no use as the phone is blocked in a loop of booting and rebooting again.

Why wait?

You really need to have your phone rooted right from the start. Without root access you can't do a full backup and therefore you don't want to do much with a phone before rooting it.

So if you are rooting the phone then you might as well mod it at the same time. If nothing else the process of installing CGM 9 over CGM 7 is probably going to be better supported than installing CGM 9 over whatever your S2 currently has.
