Links from April FSM meetup
Hi all, I've compiled a list of links from the presentation for anyone interested. There are the slides themselves on GitHub, the List of Submissions I found, various statements about the bill made by companies and organizations (great stuff to quote with #aabill), and finally references to the independent review. Getting in touch with local senators and other groups was our next main plan along with reviewing the other submissions if we can and getting in touch with any local people. ~~ Ben Minerds Slides: https://free-software-melbourne.github.io/Assistance-and-Access-Bill/ Submissions: https://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Committees/Joint/Intelligence_... Thanks for the articles Ben. Good to see these articles from Atlassian, Microsoft and others. To clarify about the reviews/inquiries, there appears to be an inquiry (by Parliament) with submissions from the public being accepted by July 1st, and a review (to be done by INLSM, referred by PJCIS) that only accepts invited submissions. I wonder, how is the review by INSLM independent when INSLM is itself a government body? https://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Committees/Joint/Intelligence_... <https://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Committees/Joint/Intelligence_and_Security/AmendmentsTOLAAct2018> https://www.inslm.gov.au/current-review-work/#tola <https://www.inslm.gov.au/current-review-work/#tola> I include a few links, including the Act that is now in force.
