Hi Ben, Are you still looking for examples, or have collected enough already? If not, might I suggest setting up a wiki on softwarefreedom.com.au somewhere so everyone can see what you've got? I can post short messages and URLS to my workplace message board (to get more people involved), but can't easily list everything without resorting to sending out e-mails (which might be frowned upon). Sending a link to a wiki page would be ideal. Thanks, Adam On Fri, Sep 03, 2010 at 10:42:26PM +1000, Ben Sturmfels wrote:
I'm looking for examples of innovative Australian software (developed without patents), preferably earlier than 1992. The earlier the better.
Thanks everyone for your great suggestions. They'll be a great help for completing the petition.
If you'd like to sign the paper petition, you can find us at Richard Stallman's Melbourne speech on 15 September: http://nicta.com.au/nicta_events/events/event_repository/upcoming_events/big...
or at Software Freedom Day Melbourne on 18 September: http://www.sfd.org.au/melbourne/
For elsewhere in Australia, I'll publish a copy online for you to sign and post back to me.
Regards, Ben
