Just wanted you to be the first to know. Instead of our regular meet-up this month, we're holding our inaugural "contribute to free software" workshop, Saturday 22 August, 9:30am to 5:30pm at Electron Workshop in North Melbourne. It's $25 per person which includes lunch and is limited to 20 people.

The aim of the day is to help participants make their first ever contribution to free software. We'll have experienced mentors on hand to help you find a project to contribute to (or you might have one in mind already), find a suitable task and clear the hurdles to submitting your first contribution.
