Hi all, Yep, me too from Bris! It would be great to meet and catch up occasionally with some free software enthusiasts in Brisbane. I don't have a venue but it's hardly necessary for a group of three :) Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm up for anything really. Please tell me the hibernation is over. I'm here too, but I don't think anyone is actively using this list as I had forgotten I was on it :)
Cheers,

Well, excellent! I wasn't expecting to get 9 replies! I am keen to meet others. For a short intro: I teach at the UQ Library, and try to focus on FLOSS for data analysis/manipulation. I've been a Linux user and FLOSS advocate for the last ten years, but I'm also interested in the cultural Commons, Open Science, and ethical computing in general (environmental sustainability, privacy, slow tech...). I tried to get a Slow Tech BNE regular gathering going with a friend but I haven't had much success so far. Anyway, I don't particularly have much free time at the moment, but definitely keen to organise at least a little catch up soon, maybe over a drink somewhere? Is The Edge tricky to use now? The recent opening of the Brisbane Tool Library makes it even more attractive. Cheers On 14/2/19 5:04 pm, Steven Hamilton wrote:

G'day. There are a small number of FOSS people at the Brisbane FP Group meetup if you're keen.
